Terms & Conditions
Performance Conditions (Environment & Safety)

Weather limitations
Performances cannot take place outdoors in rain, strong wind, extreme heat, or high humidity.
A fully sheltered, shaded indoor alternative must be available.
Sun Exposure
Direct sunlight on the harp or performer is not permitted.
For outdoor performances in non-shaded areas, a large, stable umbrella must be provided to fully shade both the harp and performer for the duration of the performance.

Flooring
The performance area must be on flat, stable ground (no sand, dirt, gravel, uneven, or sloping surfaces).
Grass may be acceptable only if discussed and approved in advance. A small floor mat will be provided by the harpist for use on grass.
If the grass is wet, muddy, or unstable, the harpist will be unable to perform in that location and an alternative area must be arranged.

Access & Setup Requirements

Stairs & Lift Access
Stairs are preferably avoided. A standard-sized lift is preferred where available.
If stairs are unavoidable, this must be disclosed at the time of booking and clearly detailed, including:
1) The number of steps
2) Whether the stairs are straight or spiral
3) Width, handrails, and any tight turns or obstructions
Failure to disclose stairs in advance may result in the inability to perform.

Parking & Load-In / Load-Out
A loading dock or a parking space very close to the venue entrance is required for safe load-in and load-out.
If this is not available, the client must advise in advance so suitable arrangements can be discussed.
A separate parking space is also required for the harpist’s vehicle for the duration of the event.

Setup
The harpist will arrive a minimum of one (1) hour prior to the performance time to allow for setup and tuning.
If noise restrictions apply and tuning cannot take place at the venue, this must be communicated in advance so alternative arrangements can be made.
Pack-down following the performance requires approximately 15–20 minutes.

Performance Space
A minimum clear performance area of 1.5 metres x 1.5 metres is required, free from foot traffic and obstructions.

Power & Equipment

Amplification
Amplification is recommended for most events of 50 guests or more.
All amplification equipment is provided by the harpist.
The harpist uses a Bose speaker system, with a fully wireless setup to ensure there are no visible cables and no disruption to the aesthetics of the event.
For larger events or venues with in-house audio systems, the harp can be connected directly to the venue’s sound system if required.
The harpist performs using a Swiff Audio WS450 BLACKWING digital wireless system, with an approximate transmission range of 30–50 metres, allowing flexibility in placement and movement within the venue.

Booking, Payment & Cancellation

Booking Confirmation & Deposit
Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit.
Dates and times are not held without a deposit, and in the absence of payment, the harpist reserves the right to accept another booking for the same date and/or time.

Final Payment
The remaining balance is due 1–2 weeks prior to the event date, as agreed at the time of booking.
Payment is accepted via direct deposit only. Cash payments are not accepted.

Client Cancellation
Cancellations made within 28 days of the event date will result in forfeiture of the full performance fee.

Performer cancellation
In the rare event of illness or emergency, a suitable replacement may be offered or a full refund issued.

Delays & Schedule Changes

Late Starts
The performance will conclude at the originally agreed end time, regardless of any delays to the event schedule, unless otherwise discussed and agreed in advance.
If an adjusted end time is agreed to on the day, an additional fee will apply to cover the extra performance time.

Overtime
Where overtime is approved, the harpist’s standard performance fee will be applied in addition to the original booking fee.
